Once again I find myself playing catch up on all that I want to read about nonprofit management and once again I list some of the more interesting items.

Because nonprofit fiance and accounting topics are not enough for me, here are some tidbits on HR issues you should know about.
- There is a new I-9 form. After April 3rd you must get your new employees to fill this version out.
- Nonprofit employees are paid too much. At least some people think they are. In case you missed it, here is a piece from the Wall Street Journal about nonprofit compensation.
Managing in Tough Times
- Looking for low cost ways to reward employees? Maybe if you do the opposite of everything in this post you will make someone feel a bit better.
- One of the ideas talked about in the articles about the tough economy for nonprofits are business plans. Do you have one, do you need one, and do you know how to put one together? TechSoup has a new resource that might be worth a look, a business planning software tool.
- Are you considering any big changes at your organization? Have you considered what may happen to your reputation as a result of those changes? This article from the Nonprofit Risk Management Center talks about reputation risk, including the differences between how we see our organizations versus how others perceive them. Well worth a look.
- Working with vendors at your nonprofit? My guess is yes, and this article gives us a few tips on how you can turn potential problems with vendors to your advantage.
